| Long established Galleon Beach Club is situated in some 20 acres at tranquil Freeman's Bay, at the entrance to historic Georgian English Harbour, surely one of the most scenic locations in the world, where one can find the true "Art of Relaxation".
A long white sandy gently sloping beach, nautical atmosphere, stunning views, excellent management, friendly staff, & genteel ambience mean Galleon is one of the most popular holiday spots in Antigua, enjoying regular repeat business, a peaceful haven, where you can do as much or as little as you like. Watersports include complementary Sunfish sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, & of course snorkelling & swimming, in calm clear water. Also available are two tennis courts, communal barbecue area, on-site restaurant, (additional beach bar restaurant a few minutes amble along the crescent beach), & complimentary day ferry service on the hour to nearby Nelson's Dockyard & English Harbour for shopping & sightseeing. Excellent scuba diving just 75 yards from the beach & at other sites can be arranged in association with Octopus Divers. Full reception, maintenance and security service included. Accommodation consists of some 27 properties including several larger privately owned houses with pools, either on the beach front, or Roundhouses & Cottages set back and well spaced apart on the gently sloping lawns to take advantage of the spectacular views, as shown on the site plan. All have fans & full kitchen, but no telephones or television, although the large houses have individual specifications chosen by their owners. Telephone & fax facilities are available from Reception. There is also a small on-site shop, open 2 hours a day for essentials. |
